Inspired by the form of a chess piece, the Polo Bar Stool Natural is sculpted from a solid piece of Suar timber to create a unique & memorable piece. The combination of curves & straight lines delivers style & stability for any setting. The elongated form of these hand turned sculptural wooden stools are perfect for counter height use & designed to work as a series or individually as additional seating.  Suar is a fast growing timber, A.K.A South American Walnut or Acacia, & carries a Global Conservation status of G5 ? indicating sustainability & abundant population.  Each piece is kiln dried, however cracking will occur as your natural timber product adapts itself to the environments moisture, temperature & exposure to sunlight. The appearance of cracking can be alarming at first but be assured it is a natural part of your timber's lifecycle. This is not a deterioration but a natural reaction to climate. You can witness these changes throughout the seasons, as if your furniture is a living, breathing being. ** Please note: this stool is not suitable to use on high pile carpet or rugs and must allow ventilation under the stool.

Horgans is a second-generation family business bringing a world of sophisticated furniture to Australian homes. Since 1983, we’ve travelled the globe to source unique pieces with a story to tell.

It’s how we shape layered living spaces of character, and a legacy of great design.

We began as a family story.
And even as we’ve grown,
we’ve maintained a family feel.
Open arms and open doors.

We’re a people business, built on relationships.
That’s because, at the end of the day, we’re here
for where people and families live.
