Sarah brings a thoughtful and balanced approach to both design and client relationships, blending creativity with practicality to ensure every project is both functional and beautiful. She values collaboration and truly listening to her clients, aiming to make the design process enjoyable and effortless.
What trends are you seeing in the interiors space right now, and what do you think is here to stay?
There is a definite shift toward warmth, think richer tones, organic textures, and soft, sculptural forms. We are also seeing a focus on sustainability and longevity, which I believe is more than a trend, it is the new standard. Pieces that are thoughtfully designed and made to last will always be on trend.
What is your favourite product from the Horgans collection right now?
The Emmett swivel chair in Clay….. it makes a quiet statement, effortlessly cool AND incredibly comfortable!
How would you describe your approach to design and client relationships?
I approach design with equal parts creativity and practicality, the goal is to create the perfect balance between form and function. When it comes to client relationships, I believe in listening, being collaborative and solution focused. Every project is unique, and I love helping clients bring their vision to life in a way that feels effortless and enjoyable.
Outside of work, how would we find you spending your time?
Playing netball, watching my daughters play netball, or watching the mighty Vixens play netball. Go Vix!
What is your favourite movie?
Dirty Dancing
What is your favourite place in the world?
Bright, in the Victorian high country, is my happy place! It is such a beautiful part of the world and is stunning in every season!
What is your favourite food?
Singapore noodles, or seafood, or Mexican, or dumplings, or sushi, or…..actually I really do love all foods!

A Without Google maps…. I literally would not be able to find my way home from the local supermarket 😬

With over 20 years at Horgans, Sam brings a lifelong passion for design and marketing to his role as COO. Born into the business, he has developed deep expertise across all facets of the company, from buying and design to logistics, sales, and brand strategy. A true all-rounder, you might find Sam brainstorming with the design team, lending a hand in the warehouse, collaborating with sales, or coordinating creative campaigns and photoshoots. His hands-on approach and people-first mindset are central to the Horgans culture. Sam thrives on working closely with the design and marketing team and connecting with customers; he’s a natural communicator who genuinely enjoys building lasting relationships.
