Marion and Patrick Horgan launched Horgans forty years ago as an independent homewares wholesaler in the historic woolsheds of Ultimo. At that time, most manufacturers were not open to making deals with women, and Marion found that most doors she knocked on remained closed. However, through her perseverance, she formed significant trade partnerships with key international suppliers, and Horgans became known for bringing the latest style from far and wide to Australia.
Today, Horgans offers diverse collections of furniture, lighting, homewares, décor, and tableware nationwide from showrooms in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Perth. We’re proud to be a trusted supplier to designers, stylists, and retailers who value not only the latest trends but also a commitment to products that are ethically sourced and made to last.
We care about where our collections come from, and about the places they will inhabit. We care about how they make a space feel. Honest. Tactile. Considered. Our trade partners also value the qualities our reputation has been built upon: experience, relationships, and an abiding love of design.
Following Patrick’s passing in 2021, Horgans is run by Marion alongside her children, Renee and Sam. They share her passion, integrity, and relentless drive to seek out the new. We began as a partnership. We grew as a family. Today, it’s an honour to know our name is part of the places where so many other families come together every day.
